In order to anchor in Simi, it is advisable to arrive relatively early, around 15:00. It will then already be crowded and moorings can be found just where it remains. In addition, there is a token mooring fee according to the length of the boat, at the rates of a municipal marina (about 15 euros a night for a 42-foot boat).
Care should be taken when mooring to stand far enough away from the pier because ferries create waves that are so high that the stern can be damaged if you stand too close.

It is recommended to climb the stairs and reach the high areas. There you can find beautiful vantage points over Simi Bay and Paddy Bay. Magical and less touristy local restaurants. At night, by booking in advance, go to Maria and Giorgios’ tavern with bouzouki and dancing and food straight from Grandma’s pots.
