As of April 14, 2020, 121,930 people have died from the corona plague worldwide. Few know that every year about 1.5 million people die of malaria, 1.6 million tuberculosis and about 1 million AIDS. About 95% of them in remote areas without access to modern medicine. In the lecture I will describe my experiences as a member of a medical delegation that uses special vessels to reach and treat these deadly diseases on remote islands in Papua New Guinea.
